Tipis for the 2011 Festival are now sold out. If you have booked a tipi, the lead contact on your booking will be sent an email from the Tipi field organisers in early June, with information about where, when and how to check in to your tipi.
Tipis have long established themselves as part of the annual landscape at Glastonbury Festival. There are a limited number of Tipis available to hire for Festival-goers. The Tipis are situated in the Tipi Field near the Stone Circle and adjacent to the Park area of the Festival, offering spectacular views across the whole site from the hills.
Each Tipi can house up to 6 adults. In 2011 Tipis will cost £900 to hire (Festival tickets not included). This year Tipis will come complete with a groundsheet and rain catcher, but you will need your own bedding, camping equipment, etc, and any necessary creature comforts. Tipi dwelling is an incredible and elemental experience, but not a luxury one.
While there are no specific family areas in the Tipi Park, there will be space around the Tipis to sit, and for children to play. There will be a number of communal fires, and The Park area is just a stone’s throw away. There will of course be toilets and water points nearby, as there are in all camping fields. Tipi campers will also have access to Solar Showers and a log fired Yurt Sauna.
