Australia / New Zealand showcase - the South Pacific is a hotbed of vibrant creativity in electronic music, a meeting point between the sounds of soul, roots and dub with cutting edge electronics and up-to-the-minute productions. Fresh for 2011, the Dance Village is proud to host a hand-picked selection of the jewels of New Zealand and Australia's burgeoning dance scenes. The antipodean antics kick off on Thursday in the Pussy Parlure with a South Pacific showcase. Then throughout the weekend you can catch highlights such as the laid-back R'n'B of New Zealand's Ladi 6 - fresh from a tour supporting Gil Scott heron, or the future-retro soul of Australia's Electric Empire.
